Cynthia and Zenon, two Southern California surfers who’s most important events in life have occurred at the beach, saw a need for a beach item that allows you the freedom to stay at the beach even when you are wet and cold; something that keeps you warm even with your wet wetsuit on, you can change under it, then reverse it to hang out at the beach longer, or you can just throw it on after you get out of the water, soaking wet, jump in the car and head for your hot shower.

The initial design for the Surf-fur was first discussed on their surfboards during dawn patrol at Ponto. The water was about 52 degrees and it was even colder outside. They both dreaded getting out of the water to change in the cold, then racing home to the hot shower. Someone needed to design a product that gives you more freedom at the beach!

After that first “board meeting,” we started to talk to other surfers and divers to design the most functional garment. After four years and six prototypes, the fnal design for the Surf-fur was perfected.
