Ten years of people asking. Five+ years of us building.
The request came in over and over. Divers heading to Cozumel, spearos flying to Panama, instructors working seasons on three continents. They loved the Original and they couldn't bring it. A full parka eats a carry-on.
So we spent five years making a thinner one that still does the job. Not a lighter version with things removed. The same waterproof shell, the same warmth against a wetsuit, the same length to change under, in the thinnest dive parka anyone has made.
When we finally showed it, the early tier sold out in hours. The whole campaign funded in under two days.
This is that parka. First production run is a limited edition color and we do expect it to sell out before it lands in October.
This is a presale order that guarantees your size.
Why it took five years
Thin is easy if you give something up. Thin and waterproof and warm and long enough to change under, all at once, is the hard part.
We went through the same process we used on the Original: build it, take it in the water, find what fails, start again. Five years later, the parka that packs into a carry-on works as well as the one that doesn't.
